Terms of Service

Welcome to YouCaster. By downloading, installing, or using the YouCaster mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and YouCaster (operated by Jiawei An) ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the App you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

YouCaster is a mobile application that converts public YouTube channels and handles into private audio podcast feeds, enabling background playback, offline listening, and automatic episode updates on Android devices. The App relies on publicly available YouTube data and does not host, store, or redistribute any video or audio content.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

3.1 Subscription Plans

YouCaster offers optional paid subscription plans ("YouCaster Pro") that unlock premium features including unlimited channel subscriptions, unlimited monthly playback, livestream replays, and offline caching. Free-tier features remain available without a subscription.

3.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through the Google Play Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Google Play account will be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

3.3 Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged at the applicable rate. Only one free trial is available per Google account per subscription type.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a subscription period except where required by applicable law.

3.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure.
• Use the App to infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the App.
• Use automated means to access or scrape the App beyond normal usage.

5. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with YouTube's publicly available data. Your use of YouTube content is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (excluding third-party content) are and will remain the exclusive property of YouCaster (operated by Jiawei An). These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YouCaster (operated by Jiawei An) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
